If hearing aids are recommended, it is important that the maximum benefit is realized from their use! An orientation process is performed to ensure comfort and appropriate programming of devices. Patients work with the audiologist to ensure confidence with use of the devices. Follow-up is planned and scheduled with the understanding that hearing aids can be fine-tuned to assist in a variety of environments such as restaurants, church, and other challenging listening environments.
If a patient has hearing aids already, but feels they aren’t performing as well as they would like, hearing may have changed or the devices may simply need maintenance and/or adjustment. We are happy to work with patients’ existing technology as appropriate.
